What is vertical rooftop solar?

The modules stand upright, with bifacial cells able to receive light on both sides. They are installed as rooftop units above a separate roof covering. The PV system does not replace the roof’s waterproofing.

Can it go on a green roof?

Compatible sedum roofs can use BIO120 supports. Conventional flat roofs use the corresponding support configuration. Roof capacity, saturated vegetation load where relevant, wind conditions, drainage, access and the electrical design determine the final layout.

How much energy will it produce?

Rated power describes the units under specified test conditions; actual energy depends on the location, shading, orientation and installation. A site-specific layout and assessment are needed. Off-grid use additionally requires compatible battery storage and inverter equipment.

Does one QUATTRO unit contain four panels?

Yes. One xM-3 QUATTRO-256S unit contains four vertical bifacial modules and has a combined rated output of 256 Wp.

Can solar and a green roof share the same roof?

Yes, where the roof structure, waterproofing, planting and chosen supports are compatible. The combined saturated load and maintenance access are reviewed together.

Is this a complete off-grid system?

The rooftop PV units generate electricity. A complete off-grid package also needs separately specified storage, charge control and an inverter.
